UNIT 21: THE RIGHT TO DIE
The Hemlock Society is an organization which advocates the choice for those with terminal illnesses. This article is an articulation of the organization's position. Marcia Angell, M.D. is executive editor of the New England Journal of Medicine. The "Background Information" section of the site contains definitions of terms such as "assisted suicide" and "euthenasia". There is a good deal of information on the site as a whole. A Dying Person's Guide to Dying Things to think about when you've heard that you have a terminal illness. Issues raised are realistic and hard to face.
